Sharing Drafts of a Slide, Script, and Handout

Instructions

1. A Slide

A draft of one slide, featuring both text and a substantive image posted to the discussion board as a PDF.

Remember that your slides should not contain the full text of your statements — that is, you don’t want the viewer to be able to just read them instead of listening to you! Instead, your slides are visual aids, rather like outlines that you share with your reader.

The slide you share this week must contain a chart or image that you have created. You can use an image that you have previously created in this course or you can create an image for this occasion. Remember that this image should:

  • Not be decorative. That means it should not be clip art or an image of text
  • Be integrated thoughtfully into the design of your slide

Images at this point will be considered for fit and usefulness rather than style and design.

2. Script/Notes

You should create a script that you would be able to use to assist you while giving a presentation from the slides you have created. This can instead take the form of notes. Attach this to the discussion board post as a Word document.

3. Handout

This can be a very rough draft but should demonstrate the information and the layout of the one-page document. Attach this to the discussion board post as a Word document.

work is based on the powerpoint attachment.
