The Optimal Supplier Assignment at an Affordable Cost

Instructions

Select a type of hospitality operation you would like to own. Create a list of local hospitality suppliers that you might use for that type of operation. Select one supplier form your list and prepare a discussion post that explains how you identified that specific local suppliers and why these would be the best for your type of operation. Then explain why buying from local suppliers is a better strategy for your type of hospitality organization than using national suppliers.

Post your initial response (of at least 200 to 300 words) early in the week and check back often to continue the discussion about the option you identified. Your initial post must be made before 11:59 PM on Thursday of week eleven.

Please make sure that your responses to your peers are substantive and continue the discussion on the topic by asking questions about their primary post, making suggestion, or politely challenging the information in their primary Post. Be sure to respond to at least two posts from other students or your instructor before 11:59 PM on Sunday of week eleven.

Your responses in the discussion board must be well written and you must include a reference for any information that you used to respond to one of the options above. Do not copy and paste information from any online source as outlined in the Collin College Student Handbook.

Finally, be sure to include at least one reference in your initial post. The reference must be from an academic or scholarly source carried by the Collin College Library or other professional and scholarly references.
