Paragraph 1: I attached my time log matrix file. Based on the time log matrix, is there a balance among the current % including sleep %? Discuss the extent to which the actual percentage of time you spend in each cell including sleep (used the matrix on the right) is consistent or misaligned with what you expected the %s to be, with what you want/desire the %s to be. This is your gap analysis. Give one or two factors that create the alignment/misalignment then explain. This can be a short paragraph.
Paragraph 2: Using the Schwartz article (please read the attached file), analyze how effectively you are managing your time/energy. First, provide a general assessment of all four sources. Frame your discussion in terms of mind (e.g., school, work), body (exercise, diet), emotions (happy, irritable), and spirit (balanced, not in control). This can be a short paragraph.
Paragraph 3: Look in depth at 2 areas (mind, body tend to be most popular). Examine how your behavior compares to his audit criteria. How well you follow (or not) the effectiveness tactics he describes. Explain specific areas of effective or deficient behavior per audit criteria. Give TWO specific personal examples. PLEASE BE SPECIFIC IN YOUR EXAMPLES AND DO NOT JUST WRITE  GENERAL IDEAS. It needs to tell the Who, What, How story. What happened in the personal examples? How does each detail in the examples reflect your score? What are your emotion and behavior in the examples?
Paragraph 4: Within the 2 in-depth analyses above, discuss the extent to which you might fall into or avoid Christensen’s traps (“I will do it tomorrow.”  “Oh just this once….”). I attached the file of the article. Please read it before writing. Identify TWO specific personal examples of the traps in terms of experience or how avoiding. PLEASE BE SPECIFIC IN YOUR EXAMPLES AND DO NOT JUST WRITE  GENERAL IDEAS. It needs to tell the Who, What, How story. What happened in the personal example? Describe the details of the examples. What are your emotion and behavior in the examples?
Paragraph 5: What does your analysis thus far tell you about whether you “walk your talk?”  Think in Christensen’s terms of being “happy” (fulfilling your purpose, maintaining relationships and values). What is/are the “Big Picture” lesson(s) you have learned? What are some Life Strategy (Christensen) actions to take – things to continue doing, things to change, what lies ahead (e.g., where does school time go after graduation)? Give ONE specific personal action plan to fulfill the “Big Picture”.  PLEASE BE SPECIFIC IN YOUR EXAMPLES AND DO NOT JUST WRITE  GENERAL IDEAS. You should lay out at least a few action steps. How does each detail in your examples reflect your motivation to fulfill your goals?
Paragraph 6-7: Looking at your Schwartz analysis, what are 2 specific issues/behaviors within each energy source you want to focus on in the short term? What do you need to accept and adapt to, cope with? What is in your control to change and what changes do you intend to make? Do not just give blanket slogans (“I need to exercise more.” “I need to reorganize my study schedule.”) Provide specific illustrations and actions (“This [x] is something I can not control and this is how I will adapt.  This [y] is something I can control and I will do [z].”). Give ONE personal action plan for EACH issueYou should lay out at least a few action steps. How does each detail in your examples reflect your motivation to make improvements?
Paragraph 8: What are the implications for your future behavior? Here provide your specific, personal, detailed, actions and behaviors you will practice going forward. Give TWO personal action plans. Again do not just give blanket slogans (“I need to join some groups to create a support network”  “I need to devote more time to [X].”)   Provide specific steps and opportunities for each issue. The emphasis here is on feasible actionable ideas and their implementation (giving a brief timeline helps here).
